CBCTQ 2026 Tutorial: Quantum Computing for Operations Research
David Bernal Neira presented the tutorial “Quantum computing for operations research: current state and perspectives” at the Congresso Brasileiro de Ciências e Tecnologias Quânticas (CBCTQ 2026) in Niterói, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on 21 September 2026.
The tutorial covers the state of quantum computing for operations research, including QUBO formulations, quantum annealing, the quantum approximate optimization algorithm (QAOA), and variational quantum eigensolvers (VQE), with hands-on examples run on quantum simulators, annealers, and gate-based hardware.
