Carolina Tristán discussed her approach to implementing disjunctive programming to optimize the design for producing renewable electricity from salinity gradients through reverse electrodialysis; a groundbreaking approach to achieving sustainability in the water-energy nexus.
Albert Lee’s first debut on the AIChE was a success. His presentation on the Logic-based Discrete-Steepest Descent Algorithm (LD-SDA) for solving Generalized Disjunctive Programming (GDP) was well received.
